So my wife told me to get a hobby and my employer told me to get a blog is why. I am now the proud manager of Coney Tiger's under 8s football team and no longer a bloggun' virgin.

Pre-season barely friendly
I've just casually introduced my wife to my blog. Rather unconvincingly she said, 'it's good'. So it's alright, you don't have to pretend. Just remember that the first episode of 'The Wire' wasn't brilliant either...
It started with a kiss.
It didn't really but I do wish that it did.
Like most things I do, it began with an enormous amount of procrastination. I decided to start my blog about an hour ago and since then I have been trying to fix my hair clippers. If I actually intended to clip my hair this evening, I probably would have started a blog. I think you get the picture.
I didn't even notice that I was being asked to become the manager of my youngest son's football team, at least not until my wife began prodding my muffin top, grinning and telling me what a good opportunity this would be for me. And even when the penny finally dropped, there was no classic sit-com, 'aw gawd! what have I done!?' moment because I thought I had volunteered just to help out. Clearly I was picked out of a crowd of dads as a football coach in the making. I was wearing shorts, it was probably that.
